Capacity building programme in Infrastructure Policy - PPP Framework
The Government of Karnataka in association with the Administrative Training Institute, Mysore has successfully completed 2 batches of 2 days Training Programme on the Capacity Building for officers of various departments on Infrastructure Policy - PPP framework. The 1st batch was held on 15th & 16* November 2007 and 27 Officers participated. The following topics were covered in the Training Programme: -

  1. Infrastructure Policy and Challenges in Developing Infrastructure.

  2. Introduction of Public Private Partnership.

  3. Public Private Partnership - Concepts and Key Principals.

  4. Unlocking commercial value of existing assets.

  5. Bid Process Management.

  6. Legal documentation.

  7. Case study / Presentation of successful PPP's.

2.0 Based on the feedback and suggestions of the participants more discussions on practical examples were included in the Training Module of the 2nd batch held onl7th and 18th December 2007. The following topics were covered: -

  1. Infrastructure Policy and Challenges in Developing Infrastructure.

  2. "PPP & NURM - Experience Sharing".

  3. Experience Sharing in implementing PPP Project.

  4. Public Private Partnership in Industrial Estates.

  5. PPP's in Housing and Urban Development.

  6. Public Private Partnership - Concepts and Salient Features.

  7. Case Study - Presentation of Successful PPP.

  8. Legal Documentation - RfQ. RfP and Concession Agreement.
